Two more from Star Wars!

Image
Yep! Another two from Star Wars. And why not? Who doesn't love Star Wars?? OK, don't answer that. Lots of people know my love of Obi-Wan Kenobi so of course I am missing him in the new Star Wars. Maybe that's why I'm grasping at the idea that Rey is really a Kenobi.  She may not be, but hey, I can dream right?
Enjoy!

Old Jedi!

Image
Two more from my iPhone. This time old Jedi from Star Wars. I must be getting old, because I found it quite interesting that Mark Hamill is now older than Alec Guinness was in the original Star Wars.
Enjoy!

More iPhone drawings!

So I've continued to forge ahead with drawing on my phone at any given moment. Have to say has been getting easier and I'm enjoying it more and more. Here are two more done on my phone and they are two of my favorite characters. The Rocketeer and, of course, Superman!
Enjoy!

New iPhone + New Stylus!!

Image
So I got new toys for Christmas and I have been going nuts using them. I love that I can draw pretty much whenever I find a moment. Whether it's in the supermarket, department store, or waiting in the car. My new 6S plus iPhone coupled with a new stylus is exactly what I think I've been looking for in terms of the digital sketchbook. And possibly even more than that. Here are my first two drawings done on my new phone.

Saturday Evening Post!

Image
So here we are in 2016 and I am knee deep in work. That's a really great thing. I have high hopes for the new year and I am excited about the possibilities ahead. That's the way it should be, right? I hope it's good for everyone.

So many people know that I am a huge Indiana Jones fan. I wanted to do a new piece with him and I wanted it to be a bit more than just his face this time. I have had such good response to my "newspaper" paintings (Superman, Spider-Man, Batman) that I thought I would try to use that as a theme again only that I figured that the Saturday Evening Post would be much more fitting for the time period that Indy lives in. Plus it let me play in two of my favorite illustrators sandbox. I surely didn't rush this one either as I slowly let it simmer as I worked out ideas and composition. I am really happy how this one came out.

Enjoy!

Also, here is not only the pencil version of the painting, but my oldest Indiana Jones drawing I still have!!
