Stuff from the ol' website. Part 8

Part 8??? Jeez! Will this ever end??

Ok, I thought this one was fun. Several years ago, when I was still slaving away part time at Disney (in order to keep my ID and free admission), they had a Cast Member contest to design a pin. My wife wanted to enter. I thought that was great! She did her own drawing and concept and did awesome. She then said I should enter as well. To be honest, I didn't really want to. I had won such contests before at Disney and it always seemed to be a letdown. I did concede though and I submitted an old drawing I did without any changes. Done! While the judging was going on, however, I resigned from Disney. Then one day my wife calls me and tells me she won! They had a small ceremony where she got a certificate presented by the Walt Disney World Ambassador and had some fanfare. She would also get to have a signing event when the pin was released. Turns out that I had won as well. She tried to surprise me with it but bad weather and an impending hurricane or such cancelled my presentation and such. Just my luck with Disney. I did have a signing as well but they had to draw up a contract just for me since I was no longer a cast member but the contest rules were binding. So much fun!

...and here is Mindy's pin too!

Stuff from the ol' website. Part 7

Back to some old stuff today. I really want to finish this off as soon as possible now. Bear with me. Today I have four pretty random pics. The first one was done a LONG time ago when the company I was working for was developing a Casper game. I was pretty involved and did a LOT of finishing and inking the art. I was proud of the work and was actually enjoying myself for the first time at that job. I should have known better. The job got cancelled and everything went into the trash. I don't remember who did the original sketch of the house but I finished, hand inked and digitally painted it. Then I threw Casper in for fun after it was all over.

This next one was done for a children's magazine. They only print certain pages in color but wanted a double page spread about smoking and ......., I guess running. I don't remember. But I do remember that the fade from black and white to color was there! I did this from start to finish in Photoshop. No paper.

These next two were just fun drawings out of my sketchbook.

Nothing really new here, just updates. These files are a bit larger than my regular posts so you can enjoy printing them out if you so choose.

Well, they WERE until people started to download them and sell them at conventions. Had to stop that. Sorry. Please note: DO NOT BUY THE BROWN BACKGROUND POSTER!! IT'S STOLEN PROPERTY!

Update3/15/12: See the Master version here.

Reminder: Don't ever buy this version.
If you see this one for sale, it's probably from me. I hope to be at some shows soon.
