"Them Dukes!"

Like most kids my age, I loved watching The Dukes of Hazzard! I admit I first watched it because my older brother wanted to and because it was in right before the Bill Bixby Incredible Hulk series. It wasn't long before I was hooked tho. Soon I was playing with my friends with our Hot Wheels cars and making up our own adventures. It may seem like a cheese show now, but we liked our cheese back then. Plus it had its charm with its "down home" narrator and the freeze frame commercial break cliffhangers. The theme song was pretty catchy too.

Enjoy. Share it if you like it.

Wonder Woman!

Specifically the new Wonder Woman! I was asked to paint her just recently and I thought it would be fun to put her in the same pose as she was on the cover of the comic where she debuted. Not an easy task as there are limited amounts of reference right now. I was pretty pleased how it turned out. Hopefully I will have more to share about this soon.

Enjoy!

Ron Weasley!

My wife Mindy and my son love having Harry Potter marathons. Usually they do it around Christmas time, but this year it got bumped as we had to have a Lord of the Rings marathon instead as we were preparing for the annual girls vs boys Trivial Pursuit tournament. So, while they watched, I sat and drew on my phone as I listened.

Enjoy!

Jonesing on my iPhone!

It would only be a matter of time before I would work on an Indiana Jones pic on my phone. This one took a while but that's cool as I worked on it while in car line, while watching tv and during slow periods of recent shows. All worth it in the end.

Enjoy!

Flash!!! A-Ahhh....

Another movie I loved as a kid. Flash Gordon! I was already a fan as I was already enamored with Buck Rogers and my aunts and uncles had told me about the Buster Crabbe versions of both. As I got older the Sam Jones version fell from my favor and I started to view it as schlock. But then as I grew even older I began to notice how awesome this movie is. The absurdity and the over the top acting is so much fun it's hard not to love. So, as I was bored and given too much free time while I was at back to back conventions, I found myself drawing Flash with tongue firmly in cheek.

Enjoy!

Clone Wars Kenobi!

Yeah, I know. More Obi-Wan. I admit that I was not a follower of Star Wars The Clone Wars. In fact, I just watched the pilot movie since I am a fan of Star Wars Rebels. So the thought occurred to me that it would be fun to paint Obi-Wan realistically but with his armor. Kind of like what I did with my Rebels poster. Was fun.

Enjoy!
