Rocky!!

I love Rocky! I saw the original in the theater back in January of 1977. The movie had come out the month before but I had never heard of it as I had lost my dad in late November 1976. My aunt had suggested the movie and took my mother, brother as well as myself. It was a much needed diversion. I didn't know what to expect but I walked out in pretty good spirits considering. Of course I've seen it again in the years since and I have always enjoyed them. He may have become a bit cartoonish in the later movies but they were always a good ride. I have not seen Creed yet tho but I have heard good things.

Enjoy!

Here is a "work in progress" shot.

Free Comic Book Day!!

This was my third year in a row at Heroes Landing in Clearmont Florida. Always a great time! This year I decided to offer head sketches with any purchase over $10. Might have to rethink that part but I had fun and I think I turned out a few good drawings. I was joined by the great Eddie Pittman who has recently published the first volume of Red's Planet. If you don't know what that is, go Google it now!!

Here are some of the head shots.

Enjoy!

Rambo!!

I loved the original "First Blood" movie as a kid. I didn't see it in the theater but watched it endlessly when we first got HBO. I remember that everyone wanted one of Rambo's knives with the survival kit in the handle. My good friend Brian actually got one!! Years later I saw the sequel in the theater with my friends and remember actually laughing at the screen when Rambo delivers some sort of patriotic speech at the end. Maybe it had something to do with what we were drinking or maybe it really was too over the top, but I have never been compelled to re-watch the movie. Maybe I should.
