This one started out as a bit of an experiment with gouache again on a comic book backing board, but with a gel medium over the first layer. That part saved me. The painting did NOT go as planned and I felt that I ruined the piece and tossed it into the bin. A few hours later it dawned on me that may be able to spray the top layer with water and literally wipe off the work of the second session and then just use my oil paints to finish it.
Which is exactly what I did.
