The Doctor (12)!

 

The Peter Capaldi era is a confusing one for me. On the one hand, he was THE perfect choice to play The Doctor, and he was magnificent in the role; unfortunately, I don't think he was given as many good stories to shine. This is just my humble opinion. The narrative felt stuck in second gear, and he came across as a different character in his second season, with too many comedic or wonky stories. Anything involving his "sonic shades" was a turn-off for me. Don't get me wrong, he does have a few I am still capable of re-watching. In fact, now in light of both his much-maligned successors, I may have to rewatch them all.
